Happy Valentine's Day!

Ha-ay Ff-olks,

Brrrrrr…it’s ff-ree-zzing out there.  This cold weather has chilled me to the core and I can’t stt-opp sh-shiver-ring. Luckily for me, my caretaker is bringing me inside and covering me with plenty of blankets.  Maybe there will be a fireplace inside, too!  It’ll warm me up AND provide a lovely romantic setting for my Valentine’s Day dinner with HugMe Christi. It seems she can tolerate the cold much better than myself and I have no idea why.

"She loves me, she loves me not"

Love is in the air…or could it be a delicious heart-shaped doughnut that I smell?!?

With Valentine’s Day later this week, I’m planning to spend quality time with my gal pal, Hugme Christi! It took me a long time to figure out if she liked me or not.  I used to pluck the petals off of flowers singing, “She loves me. She loves me not,” over and over again until there weren’t any petals left.  But that wasn’t very scientific of me.  I’m a professor of equine science, so I put my thinking cap on and started to pay closer attention to her behavior.  Learning a horse’s behavior is very important so you know when they are going to give you a kiss or a bite – but don’t worry about me; I only bite into doughnuts and hot dogs!

Whinny-Grams & Mail from Fans!

It’s that time of year again! Love is in the air! My gal-pal Christi and I have been enjoying the sunny bursts of warmer weather lately, but there is so much mud around from all that snow, I don’t think our coats will sparkle until summer! But that is OK because rolling in the dirt is way too fun, especially after a nice grooming. Hopefully the groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, was right that spring will be early this year. I have a good feeling about it. I also have been getting very excited about Valentine’s Day! I was pleasantly surprised with a recent sweets-spread last week!  Christie and I exchanged Whinny-Grams and then shared cupcakes, doughnuts, and cookies! It was a hay bale of fun. Valentine’s Day is so great because everyone realizes how much they appreciate each other, and I appreciate you, my partner in science, and my fan!
